Yoshinkan Aikido is a traditional Japanese martial art that focuses on using strong body positioning to unbalance an opponent in order to apply throws, joint locks, chokes, and pinning techniques. Developed in the early 20th century, Yoshinkan Aikido has since spread around the world and is most notably used by the Tokyo Metropolitan Police as part of their training.

We offer a uniquely authentic traditional training environment whilst maintaining a supportive family friendly ethos.

Our goal is to teach traditional Japanese martial arts in a way that maintains the Yoshinkan spirit & enables members to confidently apply it to the modern world.
